Past TDW Hood Events

At this point the constitutional amendment and local election will be done and those results will be on the top of our mind. Our guest speaker Josh Worthey is a union manager of a large region of Texas and he’s going to address the importance of organizing to get the vote out. Let’s use this passing election to get motivated for next year!
We’ll also be voting for our board for next year and talking about our upcoming Christmas party with the Hood County Dems Club!

Good conversation, good people, and a good cause. Come visit with friends old and new, get inspired by Gloria Campos, and raise scholarship funds for girls who are the future women of Texas Democrats.

Gloria Campos is the beloved retired news anchor from Dallas. She stands up proudly for Democratic values and is currently the Democratic party chair of Blanco county.

Spend time mingling with other progressives while trying to win silent auction gifts. Cross your fingers to win one of the door prizes! You can enjoy a plated meal knowing you are contributing to a party that supports women in Texas, a very worthwhile cause. All silent auction proceeds go to fund our Glenda Vernon and Glenda Pirkle Memorial Scholarships.

On Saturday, October 7th, meet us at 11 AM at the main ballroom in the recently renovated DeCordova Bend Country Club. Come through the front entrance for your name badge and door prize raffle ticket.  Remember to bring funds for the scholarship silent auction and get ready for Gloria Campos!

Come get involved in state and local politics! Wondering what constitutional amendments are up for vote? Should you vote for the Granbury ISD school bond? Which school board trustee candidates support our public schools? Get answers from our Democratic Party county chair and our political action committee chair.
We are gearing up for our annual luncheon! Come buy tickets and get forms to give to your friends!
